Samsung Nexus Prime set to dwarf iPhone 4/5?

Samsung Nexus Prime set to dwarf iPhone 4/5?

Yesterday the news broke that Samsung accidentally announced itself as partner for the next flagship “pure Android” device. The Nexus Prime – if rumors are to be believed – will play host to an incredible array of specs. With a 4.5″ Super AMOLED display and processing power supplied by a 1.5GHz core chip, this robot is going to be a beast. (That is, of course, if the speculation is correct.)
With a screen that size and a processor that powerful it is set to dwarf the current iPhone and possibly the iPhone 5 in almost every way conceivable. (Unless Apple files a lawsuit and gets a block on sales in place.) We know that the next iPhone will have the A5 processor, which is dual-core, that’s a given. We don’t know how powerful it is – since Apple keeps it secret – but it’s almost certainly not 1.5GHz. What about display size? The current iPhone’s 3.5″ screen is already looking a tad small compared to its biggest rivals. If the Prime does have a 4.5″ display, that’s an entire inch of difference. Even if the next Apple handset sports a 4″ screen, it’s still tiny compared to the Prime’s purported specs. Granted, a 4.5″ display is certainly pushing in to the realm of too big, but, who wants to carry a device that looks puny and weak against the top Google-dog?

What do you guys think? Will the iPhone 5 be a pace setter? Or will it be blown away by the Prime? (Talking performance here, not sales.) A lot will come down to how will Ice Cream Sandwich holds up in the real world. iOS 5 is going to be tough to beat (since it’s stolen the best parts of all the other major phone OSes.)

Samsung Galaxy S2 to be Unveiled in U.S. August 29

Zoom

While the world worries about the Galaxy R, a cheaper alternative to the Galaxy S2, and the countries it will launch in first, we in the U.S. are still looking for the Galaxy S2. It launched elsewhere in the world months ago (even our neighbors up north have it) and Samsung has shipped millions of them in the few months it's been available. So, when is USA going to get some Galaxy S2 action? August 29, apparently!

Samsung today sent out invites for a 'major product launch' in New York City on August 29. Considering the monster specs that the Galaxy S2 is packing, we can only assume that the big fuss is for the U.S. launch of the S2. The invitation also features a telltale 'II' emblazoned on the front. Subtle, Sammy, real subtle. The event itself is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET, so mark your calendars and we'll bring you the latest on pricing, carrier and release dates when the day comes.

For those of you that need reminding, the Galaxy S2 boasts a dual-core 1.2GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor, a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, 1GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel camera (1080p@30fps), a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, up to 32GB of storage, and Gingerbread (AKA Android 2.3).

10 reasons the Blackberry will still exist

RIM is currently in a situation that is less wear. Many are predicting that mobile phones with fuel age will not be much longer. Many have lashed out, many are also flattering.

Here are 10 reasons that the Blackberry phones will still exist:

1. Security

If RIM is more focused on the security, then people will still look for the Blackberry. Although the current iPhone, Android, and RIM's market erode WP7 start, but the Blackberry mobile security remains the main selling points are not owned by competitors. iPhone possessed only one phone model. Apple continues to improve security on the iPhone and corporate support for the iPhone but still not achieve what is currently owned by RIM.

Since Microsoft is focusing more on corporate consumer market in WP7, the phone-based mobile operating system is found to the future will be more features that the consumer-centric, so the series is still the territory of corporate RIM. Android does not count in this section because the operating system that is open, then open is also a great opportunity to threaten the security of a system.

2. Brand

The name of the Blackberry is still one of the reasons people to buy this phone. Especially for those who are lovers of the QWERTY keyboard.

3. Physical Buttons

True if the current smartphone design is liked the touch screen. But Blackberry is born as a phone with physical keys and QWERTY keyboard will always remain so without being affected by the design of a full touchscreen. If there are people who are looking for a phone with QWERTY keypad, then the Blackberry is one of the best choices.

4. QNX

This new platform looks promising when paired in the Playbook. The fact that RIM will use this platform on Blackberry phones will certainly increase the passion of consumers against the Blackberry phone.

5. Occurrences Playbook

Many people scoff when they released Playbook RIM to compete with the iPad. While it is ultimately the iPad just expect something that is not possible, but Playbook be a sign that the emergence of new Blackberry OS is getting closer. The new OS is also said to be combining a tablet with OS smartphone OS so it will be increasingly integrated with one another. As already made Apple the IOS and will be conducted by Google at the Ice Cream Sandwich and Microsoft on Windows 8.

6. The void in the market dominance of the lower middle

Forget the upscale market currently dominated by Apple and Android phone, the Blackberry would be better if the market targeting middle class down. Indeed, this market was too crowded, but no one becomes a very dominant here. Nokia has long dominated this part gradually been eroded and this can be an opportunity for RIM to come in and dominate the market with the Blackberry. iPhone is clearly not playing in this area, Windows 7 Phone is too expensive for the middle class, Symbian is not too competitive, then the RIM still has a chance in the middle market.

7. Operators still need a Blackberry

Software Development Company is one of major unrest operators because each OS is presented will have an easy and inexpensive way to communicate without using SMS or telephone. This can certainly reduce the income of operators such basic services. Google's Android is said to be the operator of the world's biggest worry because Google will further siphon data communications carriers, thereby reducing the use of SMS and phone. Basically, the operator enjoys a few options and they do not really want Android to dominate the market and they will balance with the Blackberry Android. Curve series is said to be a favorite choice for affordable so that operators can compete with Android phones.

8. Dependence on fuel

This is the ultimate secret weapon owned by RIM. Fuel has long been the biggest reason people choose the Blackberry phone. Fuel is a chat service that can only be used to other Blackberry users. With the level of security and data encryption, fuel proved successful as a chat platform safe and reliable. In fact it is this which makes RIM has to deal with some countries because governments are unable to access the fuel service population. But RIM should start worrying about Apple's new attacks on IOS with iMessage 5 or less have in common with oil platforms.

9. There is still time for RIM to clean up

Nokia in this section is a good example of where the company is now led by Stephen Elop was waiting too long to clean up at the high end level so that they lagged behind its competitors d today. RIM's current situation is still better than Nokia. They still have a bit of time to be put to good use for quick clean up before it becomes too late. Cozza from Gartner said that RIM QNX can be a lifesaver in the future, but they must be quick.

10. RIM has survived and continues to rise for decades

RIM was founded in 1984. Means RIM has been for 27 years to live, survive, and continued to increase up to become popular as it is today. Although the state of RIM in 2011 is not too good, but many people believe RIM will be able to survive. Still according to Cozza from Gartner, if RIM is able to act quickly and make decisions appropriately, then the RIM will still remain the fourth largest player smartphone 2015.

This is done so HP can sell the product immediately in various countries, including Britain, Ireland, France, Germany and Canada. In addition, sales of which will then be followed to Italy, Spain, Australia, Hong Kong, New Zealand and Singapore.

Currently TouchPad go on sale to the distributor of the United States, such as Best Buy and Wal Mart, and can be purchased through Amazon.com

Unlike the iPad, TouchPad has been supports Adobe Flash video format. These applications can run on any operating system WebOS, developed by Palm, who is also a pioneer of mobile devices that have been acquired by HP last year.

HP is not the only one tablet makers are struggling to compete with Apple in terms of price, tablet makers like Samsung Android, HTC, Motorola, Asus, and Toshiba that produce a variety of tablet products, as well as compete with the price of the iPad.

As of the reviews mention the HP has a great idea, if given enough time and support the developer, will be able to develop into something beautiful.

Tablet Android still needs time to prove themselves. While RIM failed to keep their promises in terms of product tablets Playbook. This means, though late, HP could put in a position battle this tablet.

Learning and Thinking Robot

Is this the future depicted in movies like Terminator or I, Robot? Artificial Intelligence has come a long way and we already own automated gadgets around the house. This thinking robot it's developed at the Tokyo Institute of Technology. Based on the technology called Self Replicating Neural Network (SOINN), the robot can make decisions like humans especially on tasks that have never been done before.

“So far, robots, including industrial robots, have been able to do specific tasks quickly and accurately. But if their environment changes slightly, robots like that can’t respond. This robot remembers only basic knowledge, and it can apply that knowledge to its immediate situation. If it doesn’t know enough, it stops, and reacts by saying, “I can’t do this because I don’t know how.” So, if you teach this robot just the things that it can’t do, it incorporates those things as new knowledge, and it can solve the problem overall, by including that knowledge.”

The best USB microphones

Let's say you need to record your vocals but you are on a tight budget. The best solution is to buy a good USB condenser microphone. The main advantage of an USB microphone is that you do not need extra equipment (such as preamps, mixer, additional cable). Just plug in the USB mic and start record your vocals.

Home Rec Studio Blog wrote that SAMSON SAC01PAK is one of the best USB mic for a cheap and simple home studio. I agree that this is an amazing mic and with proper mixing you can record amazing songs with it. The C01U is perfect for anyone who records audio--from journalists and students to podcasters and business people.

AT 2020 USB is another amazing condenser mic. Audio-Technica brings amazing quality at pretty low prices and intelligibility with modern convenience. This USB condenser microphone features low-mass diaphragm, custom-engineered for extended frequency response and superior transient response.

My final choice is Blue Microphones Yeti USB Microphone. They say you can create unparalleled recordings with this mic. Blue Yeti is the first THX-Certified microphone and features a proprietary tri-capsule technology to produce crystal sounds and studio-quality recordings. Another cool feature of this mic is that it can record in stereo mode.

3D Printer Technology

3D printing is a type of linear fabricating engineering where a three dimensional physical object is produced by laying down consecutive levels of material. 3D printers are commonly faster, more low-priced and easier to use than other additive manufacturing technologies. 3D printers provide product developers the power to print parts and fabrications made of several fabrics with various mechanical and physical attributes in a single build process. Advanced 3D printing technologies yield models that can function as product prototypes.
